Raw Beauty

Raw Beauty, an initiative of the Atikal Foundation, celebrates survivorship and empowers survivors to share their personal testimonies. Every year, we invite a group of survivors to receive the Raw Beauty experience – where survivors can help heal their pasts; and find strength for their future.

Each year, we have successfully launched our annual Raw Beauty Calendar with the support of our Dream Team and Beauty Ambassadors. Each calendar is commemorated with an impactful celebratory event, offering world class confidence, artistic expression, and loads of fun as survivors, community leaders, supporters and partners enjoy this unique opportunity to empower survivors of cancer and domestic abuse.

Chat With A Lawyer

Chat With A Lawyer with Host Wala Blegay, a program of the Atikal Foundation, is a new TV Show in Prince George’s County, Maryland which features lawyers in the community who provide free legal advice to local residents. The show was created by local community activist and lawyer, Wala Blegay, who saw the need for a show discussing legal issues with local residents. “Many county residents have no access to lawyers or are unable to afford a lawyer and this show allows them to receive invaluable information…” stated Ms. Blegay. “The most rewarding part of this show is hearing testimonials from someone who has benefitted from watching the show.” Since its’ first filming, “Chat With A Lawyer” has featured discussions concerning domestic violence, family law, discrimination, personal injury, employment discrimination, human trafficking, business law, and more.
